Shelley started her career real estate 1998. Previously, she received her degree from the University of Maryland Biology/Zoology. Shelley was pursuing her master’s degree in public health when she fell in love with helping people navigate the adventure of buying and selling property. She loves putting all the pieces of the puzzle together from what type of property her client wants, the negotiations, following all the details through to closing and maintaining the relationship afterward.
Shelley works to make the process fun and personable yet very professional her clients. She is both diplomatic and conscientious, with a strong “can-do” attitude. Managing people’s expectations is a core value Shelley, along with helping her clients understand the real estate process based on existing market conditions.
Shelley specializes in people – her clients and their referrals – and not neighborhood. As a result, her business is 99.9 percent referral based, reflecting the quality of the long term relationships she builds. She works with all types of clients from first-time buyers & sellers to seasoned investors and across all levels and prices of properties. When not working, Shelley enjoys yoga, kickboxing and spending time with her two children. Shelley also has a great love of animals, especially dogs, and donates 1 percent of all of her commissions to the Humane Society. Her beloved chocolate Labrador Maddie, who died in 2012, was often pictured in her business cards because Shelley believes that everyone, human or canine, deserves a good home.
